Our mission is to overcome.

Overcome (from Greek nikao) means to conquer, prevail, and gain victory, not by one's own power but through faith in Jesus Christ, resulting in triumph over the world, sin, and spiritual adversaries.

To overcome:

The world:

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” — 1 John 5:4

We overcome the world not by isolation, but by faith—trusting God above culture, trends, fear, and pressure.

The Flesh:

“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
— Galatians 5:16 Overcoming the flesh means daily surrender. It is crucifying pride, anger, lust, bitterness, and selfish ambition.

“I die daily.”,
— 1 Corinthians 15:31

Overcoming is not a one-time act—it is a daily choice.

The Enemy of our soul:

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8 But we are not defenseless.

“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7 Through submission to God and resistance to evil, we overcome spiritual opposition.

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”

— Revelation 21:7

The mission to overcome is temporary. The reward is eternal.
